Description
Vladik is spending his summer vacation at Grandpa Yura's house again when Viktor, a former diplomat and Vladik's paternal grandfather, unexpectedly shows up in the village. He quickly hits it off with the locals, showers his grandson with expensive gifts, and captivates him with stories of his world travels. A rivalry flares up between the two grandfathers for the boy's attention—ranging from biting banter to open confrontation. Grandpa Yura feels more and more like he's losing, but when a dangerous secret from Viktor's past surfaces, he gets a chance to get rid of his rival.
