Description

Born in Khorezm, Maryamkhan Sultanmurodova grew up under the influence of progressive ideas. Her father was one of the leaders of the “Young Khivans” movement, and her worldview was also shaped by the influence of Jumaniyoz Sultanmurodov, the interim leader of the Khorezm People’s Republic. For this reason, despite opposition from her family, neighborhood, and surroundings, Maryamkhan aspired to travel to Germany to pursue her education. However, this aspiration marks the beginning of dramatic changes and tragic events in her life. Gradually, Maryamkhan’s fate hangs by a thread. Even so, she confronts every obstacle with determination and resilience. Dark days begin to close in around her, yet the system and those who attempt to break her spirit fail to do so.
