Description
The predator Dec, exiled from the clan, goes to the dangerous planet Kalisk. He strives to prove to his father and the entire tribe that he deserves to be a part of the clan. He meets a mysterious girl, Tia, and teams up with her. Together they begin to search for the most formidable opponent.

- The film presents full versions of the written and spoken language of the Predators. They were invented by linguist Paul R. Frommer, the creator of the Na'vi language on Pandora in James Cameron's fantasy action film Avatar (2009). Dimitrius Kolomatangi, who played the leader of the Predators named Dec, learned the language and delivered his lines in full Predator attire (the costume designer is Alec Gillis). Unlike previous films in the franchise, Deck's face was not animatronic, but a product of digital technology, with facial muscle movements transmitted through motion capture technology.
- According to director and screenwriter Dan Trachtenberg, the relationship between Deck and the heroine Elle Fanning was inspired by the legendary computer game Shadow of the Colossus for the PlayStation 2 game console.
- In preparation for filming as Deck, Dimitrius Kolomatangi was forced to practice passing a special obstacle course.
