PVC-L (PIL) tape is one of the best universal materials designed for effective corrosion protection and pipeline insulation. It is widely used for installation, scheduled renovation, and emergency repairs of main, industrial, and other pipelines of all diameters, as well as their connections, welds, and bends. PVC-L (PIL) adhesive tape provides reliable protection for steel pipes installed or operated both aboveground and underground. Moreover, the material is characterized by extremely easy installation and economical consumption, allowing for impeccable insulation of critical facilities at an affordable price.

PVC-L (PIL) adhesive tape is a fully prefabricated product supplied in rolls packaged in durable containers. The material is produced using a roll-calendering process and has a uniform structure free of cracks, bubbles, and edge tears. One side of PVC-L (PIL) polyvinyl chloride tape contains an adhesive necessary for strong adhesion to the pipe surface.

The product is applied to utility lines and their components using a spiral winding method in 1, 2, or 3 layers, either manually or using automated equipment. It is suitable for all-season use, meaning it can be used for insulation both in the factory and in the field, in temperatures ranging from –30°C to +50°C. It does not require hot work or highly qualified personnel.

The top side of the PVC-L (PIL) tape ensures high strength and durability, while the adhesive bottom side simplifies the gluing and subsequent adhesion process. As a result, the material forms a monolithic protection on the pipe, resistant to all types of corrosion – soil, air, and water. The undeniable advantage of PVC-L (PIL) tape is that it is guaranteed to form insulation for the entire service life of the pipeline (30 years).
