In accordance with the order of the Uzbek Agency for Communications and Informatization dated October 28, 2005 No. 270, new postal codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan were put into effect, and in particular for the Jizzakh region.

The new postal code for the Jizzakh region consists of six characters and looks like this:

- the first two digits of the index indicate the conditional code of the regional center;

- the second two digits of the index indicate the conditional code of the district center;

- the third two digits of the index indicate the number of the post office.

For example: index 130112 means

13 – Jizzakh region;

01 – Jizzakh city;

12 – post office №12 (Jizzakh-12).
