OVIR — abbreviation from ODepartment Tofrom AND Pregistration (foreigners) &mdash ; an organization that existed in the USSR and in the post-Soviet space, and was engaged in the registration of foreigners who arrived in the USSR and the execution of exit documents. What do you need to apply for the OVVIOG (OVIR)
The average time required to obtain an OVIR (OVVIG) visa takes from 3 to 4 weeks. Therefore, it is necessary to take care of obtaining an exit visa in advance – this will allow you to avoid additional costs and delays.
In the event of the expiration of the OVIR visa (OVVIG) or the end of the visa pages in the passport, it is necessary to exchange the passport for a new passport (biometric passport). List of documents for obtaining an exit visa for citizens of Uzbekistan
- Color photographs 3.5 X 4.5 cm – 5pcs;
- Application-questionnaire – 2 pcs. Questionnaires can be purchased at the “Service Desk” with OVIR. It is also recommended to fill them out there in order to avoid possible errors, incomplete columns, etc. Attention! It should be borne in mind that the completed application form must be stamped from the place of work or (for non-working) from the mahalla committee;
- A valid biometric passport of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan new together with OVIR visa);
- Receipt of payment of state duty (in the amount of 0.5 min salary);
- Military ID for men (needed only for completing the application form);
Important notes: – The minimum period for consideration of the application – 15 business days. – The exit permit is valid for 2 years. – Children do not fit into biometric passports. For holders of biometric passports, it is necessary to issue a Kinder-passport for a child who also needs to separately obtain an OVIR visa.
