In accordance with the order of the Uzbek Agency for Communications and Informatization dated October 28, 2005 No. 270, new postal codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and in particular for the Bukhara region, were put into effect.

The new postal code for the Bukhara region consists of six characters and looks like this:

- the first two digits of the index indicate the conditional code of the regional center;

- the second two digits of the index indicate the conditional code of the district center;

- the third two digits of the index indicate the number of the post office.

For example: index 200114 means

20 – Bukhara region;

01 – city ​​of Bukhara;

14 – post office №14 (Bukhara-14).

Advice: If you do not know the exact postal code of the area in Bukhara region (street, house number) where you are going to send the letter, then indicate the postal code upstream mail node. For example: You need to send a letter to the city of Bukhara and you cannot accurately determine the postal code (200104, 200105, 200106 or another), then indicate the index of the Bukhara Post Office i.e. 200100.
